Everyday questions
How do I start recording expenses?
Open Walli, tap the plus button, choose income or expense, select a category and enter the amount. Check the account and date, then save. Your monthly overview updates with the new record.
Do I need to connect a bank?
No. Walli is a manual expense tracker. You enter your own records and can record and review expenses offline. Downloads, purchases, analytics and optional Google Drive sync may use the internet.
What is included for free?
Income and expense recording, custom categories, the monthly overview, light and dark mode, up to two accounts, CSV export, and local backup and restore. See the full Free and Pro comparison.
How are CSV export and local backup different?
Use CSV export in Settings to save transaction records for a spreadsheet. Use local backup to save a backup file for Walli’s restore function. CSV is not a complete app backup. Keep backup files somewhere safe, and keep the original before trying a restore.
How does Google Drive sync work?
Google Drive sync is a Walli Pro feature on Android. Sign in to your own Google account from Settings, then start sync when you choose. Walli uses its app-specific Drive folder. Sync is not automatic and does not provide Android-to-iPhone syncing.
Can I restore an existing Pro purchase?
Use the Google Play account you used for the original purchase, then use Restore purchases in Walli. If access still looks wrong, contact support with the app version and a description. Do not send your full payment card details or financial records.
Is Walli available on iPhone?
The current download on this website is for Android. This site does not announce an iPhone release date.
